Unofficial course · Est. this semester

Everything your actual syllabus forgot to teach you.

Four years of exams and not one on budgeting a mess allowance, splitting rent, or asking for a raise. Offsyllabus is a small, student-run set of modules for the parts of adult life nobody grades.

Why this exists

You can solve a differential equation. Can you read a payslip?

Most of us leave college knowing how to derive formulas we'll never touch again, and completely unprepared for the first salary negotiation, the first lease, the first panic attack before an interview. This isn't a knock on any degree — it's just a gap. Offsyllabus is a handful of students trying to close it, one short module at a time.

Every module is built the same way: one real scenario, one thing you can actually do about it, and no jargon you have to Google afterward.

"Nobody taught me how to say no to a bad internship offer. I learned by saying yes to one first."

Who's actually behind this

Built by students, kept honest by students

Module 1

No finance background needed

If you can split a mess bill, you can follow this. Every example uses real student numbers, not "assume you earn $80,000 a year."

Module 2

Written between classes

Each module takes under 20 minutes. This is built to fit around your timetable, not compete with it.

Module 3
